Selma (Vaz) Rodrigues lives in Orange County. She is from Saligao, and was brought up in Mumbai, attended St. Joseph's Convent and Sophia College. She holds a BA in Psychology. Selma migrated to the U.S. in 1987. She has been involved with the GOA committee since 2011 as the Secretary/Chief of Staff. She is having an awesome time keeping the GOA organized and people happy at the many events. She has served as President from 2014 to 2016 and is excited to be voted in by the committee to continue for 2017! She looks forward to leading the GOA for another fun filled year!
Jude Vieira serves as our Vice President since January 2013. Jude lives in Torrance, California with his wife Audrey and three daughters. He grew up in Bombay and moved to the USA in 1998. Jude and Audrey have been very active with the Goan community since moving to Los Angeles in 2008. Jude is a finance professional, and works with Toyota Financial Services. He loves the outdoors and spends his spare time at the beach, hiking and camping.
Donovan Rodrigues was born in St. Louis, Missouri and grew up in Orange County, California. He has graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting - Class of 2010. Donovan worked part-time for Bank of America as a Senior Collector for the four years he was with the University. He is a CPA, currently working for Johnson & Johnson and completing his MBA at UCLA. He has been part of the GOA committee since 2011 and has been the Controller, Vice President, President and currently the Secretary. He is looking forward to another year of fun!
Audrey Vieira was raised in Mumbai. She immigrated to the United States in 2001 where she graduated in Accounting from the University of Michigan. She moved to Southern California in 2007. Currently, she is a stay-at-home mom raising her three daughters. She has been with the GOA committee for a number of years.
Felix lives in Long Beach, California. Born in Balli (Cuncolim), Goa, he grew up in Mumbai, finished his educaton and later worked in the Hotel Industry in Goa for a brief period. He migrated to the US in 1996 and currently manages a Marine & Industrial Wholesale Company in Los Angeles, CA. He has supported the GOA in the past and is happy to be part of the committee this year. He looks forward to preserving Goan culture and traditions.

Sharel lives with her husband and two sons in Orange County. She was born in Kuwait and got her doctoral degree from UC Irvine in Biological Sciences. She works as a Scientist at a biotech in the Bay area. She loves to spend her time bicycling, hiking, kayaking, traveling and playing board games with her family. She serves her community as a Director of the Lectors ministry and loves sharing her faith with the children at her Church. She enjoys being part of the goan community and enjoys having loads of fun.
Amanda was born in Bombay, India and graduated from St. Xavier's College with a BA in Economics and Politics. She has a Masters degree in Information Technology. Amanda lived in Hong Kong for a few years where she worked as a flight attendant and experienced her first taste of traveling the globe. She later moved to Los Angeles in 1996 and is married with one son. She is happy to be a part of Team GOA and is looking forward to helping plan some great events.
Bina, originally from Mumbai, lives with her family in Bakersfield, California. She has been on the GOA team for 4 years and is looking forward to yet another fun-filled year. She loves cooking and watching games.

Sharmila was born and raised in Goa. With roots mainly in Salcete, she lived her early years in different parts of Goa before moving to the US in 1991. She currently lives in Ventura County with her husband and 2 children. She has a background in electronic engineering and graphic design, and runs her own graphic design company, Candid Creations. Her interests include art, music, photography, metaphysics and nature-related activities. She designed the first GOA webpage in the mid-90s, when the internet was in its infancy. Since 2012, she has designed and managed this site and created promotional material for the GOA.
